Workshops for Student Groups

CARE offers interactive workshops aimed at raising awareness of the dynamics of sexual harassment and sexual violence, including sexual assault, dating/intimate partner violence, and stalking, and building skills for healthy relationships, communication, boundary setting, and bystander intervention. Workshops are typically peer-led by trained CARE student staff and interns. Our current list of workshops include:

  • Overview of Sexual Assault & Harassment: Learn about the prevalence of sexual assault and harassment and acquire strategies to promote a culture of affirmative consent and respect
  • Dynamics of Intimate Partner Violence & Stalking: Understand the differences between healthy, unhealthy, and abusive relationships and be able to describe the cycle of abuse and stalking behaviors
  • Healthy Sexual Communication & Consent: Recognizing components of affirmative consent and how to have healthy sexual communication
  • Building Healthy Relationships Through Boundary Setting: a workshop designed to explore and practice setting boundaries to build healthy relationships of all kinds
  • Bystander Intervention: a workshop designed to increase knowledge about effective bystander intervention and build skills to intervene safely in high and low-risk situations
