Prevention Education Intern Program

Prevention Education Interns (PEIs) gain skills in promoting awareness and knowledge of sexual violence, bystander intervention, and social norm change by facilitating educational programs.

Prevention Education Intern opportunities include: 
  • Providing sexual violence prevention education to fellow students

  • Furthering the mission of CARE by promoting awareness and knowledge of sexual violence prevention, bystander intervention, and social norm change. 

  • Representing CARE at outreach events

  • Working with CARE student assistants to plan outreach and awareness events

PEI program requirements: 
  • Must be a current UC Davis undergraduate student in good standing

  • Submit an application 

  • Attend an interview

  • Attend and participate in the required training

  • 3-quarter commitment to the CARE program following the training

  • Attend weekly meetings; Mondays from 12 - 1 PM

  • Facilitate sexual violence prevention workshops and participate in outreach events
