Bio

Laura began her work as an advocate and educator interning in a suicide prevention program with The Children’s Receiving home of Sacramento, where she supported youth survivors and engaged in efforts to combat sex trafficking. In 2019 Laura joined WEAVE, dedicating herself to advocating for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence on college campuses, providing resources and services to students. During her time at WEAVE, Laura managed the prevention and education team where she supervised and supported advocates and educators and created and implemented prevention education for the community. Laura has worked closely with medical and mental health providers to better understand and respond to the needs of survivors as well as train the community on sexual violence and gender based violence prevention. Laura is deeply passionate about prevention education and is dedicated to empowering survivors and fostering a supportive, informed campus community.
